We have always been hearing from our elders saying “Health is wealth”. So let’s build up our health together. What does your mind hit when someone says food? Well, for me there are many. Burger, Pizza, Pastry, Milkshakes, Ice cream? Wait a second! How did I forget Biryani? But are all these as healthy as they taste? I don’t think so.
The point is not that these should be entirely avoided. Maintaining a proper balance in food is one should take seriously. Now, what are the things that come to your mind when I say healthy food? Fruits, nuts, eggs, milk, what else?
Do you also believe that healthy food is boring? But that does not apply always. Why not try something on your own! It is fun to be creative but advisable to take assistance before you proceed to avoid harmful combinations.
One way to stay healthy is to intake seasonal fruits which provide your body with all required vitamins and minerals. There are also some all year fruits which you can be had irrespective of seasons. Make yourself a healthy fruit salad, sprinkle some black salt and make it tasty.
Bread is a good source of healthy carbohydrates. One of the best ways to have it for breakfast is to toast it with a little amount of ghee or have it with cheese spread or with milk. You can even think of some snack which contains bread, cheese/ butter, vegetables, flour as the ingredients for your new recipe. Give it a try!
Soup stands in the top lists of healthy food. It helps your body stay warm during monsoons and also heals your body from flu naturally. Nowadays overweight is the major problem. But various kinds of oatmeals in the market has made weight loss simple. The thing you need to do is know your favourite flavour and have it regularly.
Having 2 eggs a day increases calcium and protein content and improves your bone strength. A few kids hate eating boiled eggs due to their smell. It that case a nice omelette with a few vegetables you like, cheese and coriander would be a good choice.
When it comes to nuts, they are the whole pack of nutrition including carbs, protein, fat, fibre and even a few vitamins & minerals. They also act as anti-aging food. Make your snack tastier with flavoured nuts which are readily available in the market.
